In line with our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we are pleased to announce our named our charities of the year for 2022!
Last year, we raised an incredible £20,000 for charity and for 2022, we are hoping to beat this target, by contributing and raising money through various fundraising events, internally and externally. Our charities chosen for 2022 are Mind, St John Ambulance, and Newark Emmaus Trust!
Mind is a mental health-focused charity which through campaigns and services, supports and raises awareness for people in communities across England and Wales. This is the first year that we have chosen to support Mind one of our colleagues nominated the charity on behalf of our Customer Service Advisor, Karen Green. Having witnessed her mum struggle for many years with mental health and bipolar, Mind is a charity close to her heart.
Karen said: “Mind is important, not only does it raise awareness, it supports people not only living with mental health but those who also live with the consequences of mental health. We all know that knowledge is power, and Mind give that knowledge to assist people in their time of need. I’m proud to be a part of Digital Space and feel overwhelmed by the care of my colleagues and the offer of support.”
St John Ambulance has been a customer of Digital Space for more than 10 years. Its work revolves around ambulance services and first aid. It is a vital service for many communities, offering a service that can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
Since 1993, Newark Emmaus Trust has served homeless young people in the Newark area, providing accommodation, resources, professional care, support, and training, ultimately aiming to provide real opportunities to those they support.
Our Head of Communications and Engagement, Clare Cater, said: “CSR is immensely important to us here at Digital Space and a key focus in our overall strategy. We believe in giving back to our communities as well as doing our bit for the good of the planet. Our chosen charities provide incredible services to many and aligned to our mission of delivering a space to save lives, we are delighted to support them in 2022.”
